Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) is a privately developed Indonesian planned community (or "new town") in the Tangerang District of the greater Jakarta region.〔Pangestu, Pingki Elka. The ‘New-order’ period of the time was characterised by a strong focus on economic development.
